History
When in August of 1826 the German painter discovered the Blue Grotto,
he probably didn't imagine the fame that the beauty of such a spectacle
of nature would've had around the world. But it was the fisherman who
accompanied him that began a service that would allow many visitors
to marvel at the beauty of the grotto. Since then the demand for a visit
to the Blue Grotto or a tour of the island has grown immensely. Tours
began being offered in the fishing village of Marina Grande and, in
1955, the Società Cooperativa Motoscafisti took on this heritage of what the fishermen
practised years ago: they offer a service with the same high level of
hospitality that Capri has offered to visitors from the beginning.
